Protagonist Specific Tags :rejected:

As the name implys, I would like to request the adding of protagonist specific tags.

For example, so that reader can easily find Smart Protagonists, or stay as far away from Hetare Protagonists as possible.
How often have readers a hard time because the Protagonist doesn't fit their taste at all, how often do we all frown upon realizing we have again a loser as mc.

This could be prevented with the Protagonist Specific Tags.

And to not let the whole adding of new tags to be left onto the mods and higher ups from Mangadex, you could also allow every user with contributer status to add new tags, that you then only have to approve.
It spares your and our time a win win situation, that will improve the site.

Hm, seems like there doesn't seem much interest?

And there is no such thing as a obscene amount of tags, like on novelupdates it spares only time and let's everyone read exactly what they want to read.

I agree with AbyssalMonkey, not to mention the job the creator of the manga card will have to do.
I see it useless even on balance, if it is calculated that it is already understood from the first two chapters whether a protagonist is intelligent or not.

I also agree with AbyssalMonkey, after a while the manga synopsis will probably be filled with tags instead of the manga.
I don't like the ultimate nitpicky themes.

I think this problem could be resolved with a more robust review system, having just a number and a comment section doesn't seem to cut it in most cases. A dedicated tab for reviews of a series would help clarify a lot more of the niche information about a given series. It would also probably need to have an upvote/down vote function for the reviews to filter out less useful ones.

@Izaya_Onisai This protagonist specific tag would pretty quickly get out of hand with our current system. MangaUpdates links are on every page, is quite well-tagged with things like that there.

Maybe when we move to a more robust system...
