I couldn't have made a better argument myself. When I was a child my parents were kinda like that, and it took me until senior year of high school to get to the same level of social skills as my peers, so I definitely feel empathetic toward Amou in this situation.

The whole argument is obviously complete nonsense but hes still a highschooler and everything she said ended up hitting close to home (also the dude is kinda an idiot lol). He's some random kid her daughter knows, and you want him to argue with the mom? It's hard enough to get anyone to change their minds on issues they have no commitment to.
