Fun use of those concepts, and the design of the dominion is super cool.

Don't know why... but this made me remember how the Astral Sea works in DnD.

It isn't a 1-to-1, the Astral Sea has notable differences, but the... "feel" when I read it makes me compare, I think it is because of the images.

And... Tony just hinted(or basically threw in our faces), that there are other dimensions in this world, but it feels like it should be... new possibilities that are there, that can have effects on the now but won't necessarily interfere too.

But this too may bring an answer for what the Mesnie is in the great scheme of things, I noticed that despite Fantasia permeating the Sidh... the Sidh itself doesn't seem to be made of it, which means that Fantasia itself is only one aspect of how magic works, which can explain too... how the thaumaturges have their powers, just different interpretations or tapping different portions of the same vast well, that is made of a multitude of "things".

Seth didn't even think before answering.

I wonder if the place in Melie’s past was in the sidh… nah they woulda shown the thorny vines if that was the case.

I think it was said Melie's birthplace is southeast of this corner of Pharenos... but I could be really wrong it has been years since I read that part.

95% sure that Seth's making the right call here. Piodon's a real piece of work, but that doesn't mean Unceghil's on the level. Besides, Seth's got goals that don't involve spending his life hiding from Piodon or the Inquisitors. He's too invested in what's going on in the world to leave it behind, even if the safety offered is genuine.

I reread the melie flashback chapters (they’re mid-90s) and they do make a couple references to certain terms, namely “viqueens” which the “vi” part could potentially come from an island named something starting with “Vi”.

They never directly say the area’s name, location, nearby locations though. We can surmise if it’s not in sidh, it’s somewhere in bome because of the architecture, infected’s status as fugitives, dark blue/white stripes on the Viqueen’s skirts is also found on inquisition Uniforms.

if the reference to Melie’s birthplace is in a different part of the series, I’d like to know.

Yeah, I have no idea why in my mind I thought it was said the general direction.

But anyway, it is at least in this part of Pharenos, as Opilion went there a few years back.
