She's not a radiologist and from what I'm seeing I don't even know if they HAVE any radiologist on nights. Because otherwise Asano wouldn't be calling a technologist for a wet read.

The whole time I was like.... WHERE IS THE RADIOLOGIST IN ALL OF THIS?
Sorry got radiologist and technician mixed up.

Ah yes, blame the tech for doing her job. This whole series the doctors attacked the techs and especially Igarashi if they even dared raise their own interpretation of the scans. And the one time a tech is placed in a crappy situation due to horrible staffing on the hospital's part and something is misinterpreted on a scan by the ER doc, let's blame the tech and say they need to interpret the scans better next time.

I love this story, but this is the worst plot arcs in the series. Absolutely crap writing.

On the other hand I can totally see it happen in real life... What it really pissed me is that none of the other technicians come in her defense, not even the one she was covering...

The way Hirose can play it is, when Asano be like "She said nothing looked off" She can respond "Yes, I responded nothing looked off qualitatively with the images and they are diagnostic. Interpretation are beyond the prevue of the technologist thus I can only comment on image quality.
Hirose's job is not just to say "image quality was ok", it's also to say "the image presents intra-peritoneal abnormality, possibly gas", which she missed
