New doctor on ER and one, inexperienced technologist on a night shift? Alone? Seems like a great planning from a person, who was making duty roster.
Also, why every dickhead on almost every series has to be old/ugly/fat/bald (chose your mix) bastard? It's kinda annoying, when you look at a character and immediately you know, you're dealing with "the bad guy".

This was brutal, and unfair. As they said, they've been taught that interpretation is up to the doctor. And they said that if you don't know what you're looking for, it's easy to miss. A rookie radiologist who isn't aware she's working with an inexperienced doctor, working a sudden series of emergency scans for the overnight shift?

This is just as much on hospital staffing incompetence. A second pair of eyes almost certainly would have prevented this.

Because she was overconfident? She was literally pulled from emergency to emergency, she didn't have time to properly look over every one, NOR was she trained to do that. That "inexperienced doctor" should by now have at least 3 freshly ripped assholes in their posterior.

Mistakes happen but having only one radiologist on night shift is fairly stupid. I'm sure in earlier chapters there were two on night shift or on call for when it's busy.
Hirose is a tech NOT a radiologist and should never a final say on the patient's treatment. This is 100% on the ER doctor for not being able to properly assess the patient physically.

Yeah FR. No one with perforated intestines is PHYSICALLY well enough to be discharged.

Can't believe we're 94 chapters in and people still can't distinguish a radiologist and a radiographer/radiology technician.

Don't ever trust the doctors recommendation blindly
Coming from my own experience we had a patient up for Therapeutic Ultrasound on the doctors order but the patient had an internal fixation which is an absolute contraindication since metal implants heat up under ultrasound. Just goes to show that even doctors makes mistakes and in my case a very rookie mistake.

Cause the doctors don’t give a shit. When something bad happens in Radiollogy it’d be Radiology’s fault or so many of them think.

Really can‘t stand that chubby locum radiologist. No good radiologist would verbally abuse the tech for a misdiagnosis and not pack their punches at the treating doctors if they try to harrass the tech. He clearly shows a pathological allergy to taking accountability: must be the reason why he’s stuck in locum hell.

She's not a radiologist and from what I'm seeing I don't even know if they HAVE any radiologist on nights. Because otherwise Asano wouldn't be calling a technologist for a wet read.

The whole time I was like.... WHERE IS THE RADIOLOGIST IN ALL OF THIS?

The way Hirose can play it is, when Asano be like "She said nothing looked off" She can respond "Yes, I responded nothing looked off qualitatively with the images and they are diagnostic. Interpretation are beyond the prevue of the technologist thus I can only comment on image quality.

Bacause it's easier for common people build up hate towards ugly people, that's both a reality thing and a writting device. That's also why pretty people get away with a lot of bullshit.
