Tbh, I dislike how some of the dragons are like cockroaches.

Only the canon fodder actually die, the named characters just get saved at the last minute by some trick, or their superior, save for a few that eventually die after several encounters. That fucking dragon should have died. But nooo, "Spatial shift"...

Looking a few chapters back, it seems like the author was already moving towards this new design. I find it unlikely to be a clone or someone else. His power and behavior are exactly the same as usual, and if Crimson could create clones this powerful, this war would be over already.
