At ~chapter 10 I started just skimming quickly through the pages. At 13 is where I just dropped this.

I like every other character and everything else about this manga, but I just can't fucking stand Crimson.

Giving half the screen time for the worst fucking character and barely any for the best one... I just can't.

These are some incredibly good fights and stakes. Almost no one is given plot armor. This makes it incredibly exciting.

I'm in the exact same position I lost interest as soon as the Wii sports princess showed up. Total loss of interest. Especially with the whole "character development" with Artemisia and the dragons. Man this sh*t fell off quick.

Another sign that this was going to be disappointing

is the entire premise of the legendary warrior going back in time with his powers but at great cost (which is never fully explained), the whole "oh this is planet earth btw but magic happened" shtick never goes well too. Then idk I liked the art and the first couple chapters were just the right amount of edge but then it's a edge fuckfest and I find it hard to stomach especially when the MC is denser than a black hole and theres never a single thing that Crimson says or do that doesn't make me want to see them die horribly.

2. Ageless swordsman, Crimson, and Golem are noticeably absent.
3. Chimera MIA but we know she went to go find the missing mages of the Argentum Corps.
4. Corpse Saint has a fragment of Banko.

Someone smarter than me tie all this together for how the sun cult turns it around.

Really abusing the identity of dragons to garner attention while putting regular ones at the level of wild dogs. Having the characters be super-human and somehow possess innate gravity magic "just because", no explanation; "that's just how it typically is, so it shall be."

Oh, and depicting the dragons with mammalian chest. Add time-travel and have the protagonist succeed by himself and become the top fighter in the world within a 10-year period.

It's all so self-serving and wishful. And pathetic (since the protagonist needs that much contrivance).

can somone who knows spoilers about this series clue me in on wtf the author is trying to do?
this series was awesome and the put so SO much effort into emphasizing that no matter how 'good' the intentions of a dragon its still a dragon so everything it does is vile in every conceivable way ... and then they start doing this stupid ark about a human city maintained by dragons?? and the dragons are peaceful and only attacking because they are under threat by the sun cult??? i was waiting to see how they would explain the dissonance this time but author just keeps digging and digging a bigger hole to fill and i just dont get it
