I wonder if the new guy is related to the other Yakuza boss. I've noticed that the mangaka draws related people with similar eyes, and his eyes seem similar to the other head when he turns around in one of the shots to look back. Either way I'm suuuuper excited
@Acolytus From what I've read, it's not so much a matter of belief as it is necessity. The only reason the Japanese government tolerates the Yakuza the way they do is because they're supposedly well behaved despite being criminals. If the Yakuza were to be overly disruptive to society, they'd be on the receiving end of a crackdown by the police.
Wow I feel so knowledgeable after reading those extra explanation pages at the end; thank you translator! (btw is it just one person or a team working on the project?)
I'm sure japan still has something like this so-called Yakuza.
They are really rich in culture and status. Don't you think?
What I am interested in is that they have traditions from generation to generation.
he is Yoshino's adopted brother. He is an orphan who used to pick fights in high school until it came to the attention of Yoshino's grandfather, who adopted him as a son. So he's technically her adopted uncle but they have a sibling relationship
bah... we all know this writer is gonna stir things up with Yoshino and Shouma
regardless of the adoptive sibling relationship tho I feel like if he was adopted later in his life (highschool) then he probably doesn't see Yoshino as a little sister. MWAHAHAHAHAHA
I hope this series gets licensed. I'm loving it and I want it on my shelf darn it xD
Even after reading the notes, I'm still having a hard time grasping the old men's positions in the groups, but hopefully that will become clearer as it goes on.
