Okay, as much as I love this series (amazing art, great character design, fluid action scenes), is anyone else tired of the all powerful Merlin acting like such a fucking doormat? She was so hyped up and the headmaster of this academy but allows her students to literally shit talk her on a public stage with literally no repercussions. She doesn’t even ban that piece of shit terrorist??? Like wtf is going on with her. The leap in logic that “oh everything will be fine as long as we don’t interrupt the tournament progression” as well as allowing the stuco to get away with all these modifications is such a letdown. Crazy.

Personal opinion but, it makes it difficult to enjoy the chapter with all the bullshit going around. Like the two good points is the stuco pres ACTUALLY got arrested and the terrorist kid is about to get an icicle shoved all the way up his bum.

Dang, been a while, so I forgot what was going on. Had to reread a few chapters.

There is a fighting tournament at school with teams of 3. MCs teammates are the girl that MC freed from enslavement by another student, and an elf girl who wants to prove herself after the elf village treated her poorly after her guard parents failed and died fighting monsters. Slave girl knew MCs identity, but elf girl previously did not. But she recognized MCs master hanging around, Sasha, and got training from her.

The 2 student antagonists. First is the guy who enslaved the slave girl. Got kicked out and imprisoned with his father for previously blackmailing slave girl's family. Emperor of blaze fed them the eye of a calamity as an experiment to give them power ups, but the father didn't survive. The student sneaked into the tournament, and used a berserk spell that caused orcs to attack a village. Which delayed MC and almost caused him to lose the qualifier round. 2nd is the former student council pres, he bet MCs team that first years wouldn't make it past the qualifiers, or he would quit school. He sent MCs team through the restricted area, and was responsible for luring the orcs nearby.

Other emperors are showing up. Sword emperor is supposed to observe and reward the winner of tournament. Not much info on ice lady, other than she is ice cold with big bobs. Her team was the first to finish the final qualifier. Blaze, he previously sent minions to attack MC and his master, and fed that one student an eye of a calamity.

Another plot thread is MC has no talent with any magic type, and the other emperors were always inherently stronger than him. When he died of old age, he had a secret reincarnation ability, and he asked the goddess to keep his knowledge and memories instead of other special powers. His master has a plan to feed him an eye of a calamity, and she says the sword emperor has one.

The other major character is Merlin, the big boob demon lady, was MCs foster child in his previous life, and is now the principal of this school. He found her as a baby in the collateral damage when the 4 emperors attacked and defeated the demon king.
