A fun choice to tell the story (at least this volume) from middle-school Shouko's perspective. I suspect we'll switch to college-age Shouko next time around, which is a bit less fun.

@Topomouse It's way less a harem story than a sister, a long-term girlfriend, a bunch of female plain-old friends (whom the MC's bailed out of various crazy troubles in the past)... ...and three different versions of an ex.

EDIT: It's bad here, but the cast size is completely out of hand in the latest LN. Even with Kunimi essentially not part of the story. Still just true one love interest, though, no harem.

You have to either watch I think the 2nd half of the anime or like volume 5 (not sure I forgot) to get any context to what’s going on. Even then it’s confusing if you haven’t read the entire series. There is a manga of the main series but last I checked it covers only 1 volume or a few anime eps so it’s unhelpful
