Can someone explain why the Devs are so worked up about him? Like bro, you coded this. Who would be upset/frustrated that a player found the Easter egg you hid?
And also what could he possibly do that would warrant constant surveillance? Surely they must have something better to do.

@yannickq It's for the simple reason that for some reason 99% of Asian authors have crap story writing skills, and this one decided that they needed to have cries of wow and amazement from the peanut gallery.

The entire plot is frankly dumb, MC could have easily stuck to irl libraries which are 100% free. You could easily make an entire essay on all the dumb plot holes and bad story writing in this (there's zero given actual reason for him to level, and in fact it's detrimental to his real progress since it would seem like it would be best for him to just stick to increasing his wisdom).

@pyrak, as yes for "free", because when he finishes all the libraries near him, then what, travel to other libraries. No matter how you look at it, it still costs more than the game. First, depending on how far you travel, it will cost gas, if you travel too far and can't go on and stays at a hotel, it'll cost money too. Even going to places near him would cost gas if he drove. In a game where all you need is just a couple of steps to go to a library, I would do that instead. If you haven't stopped reading it yet, then stop then. If you hated it, why read to ch. 15

@Alfredooo0s I was reading it to get a kick out of how dumb it is. And to reiterate what I said in my other reply, libraries have their own networks which allows you to reserve a book from another library in the system and pick it up at the local library.

The frank reality is that everybody in the story are super dumb and don't act as they should by any meter. MC for going into the game to read instead of reading stuff irl, the developers for making a game with an easily broken game (level as little as possible, read everything you can, then level, congratulations you now have effectively 200 free levels worth of stats), the gamers for not abusing the free stats, the game monitors for existing (the two guys who are purely there to be a peanut gallery that is wowed and amazed by the MC) and the NPCs for acting like fully sentient people instead of very well scripted NPCs.

@pyrak, to be fair, not many people would sit and read in a game library for days, why read in a game when you can fight monsters, so getting a job far above others is a somewhat reasonable price. (If that was what you were talking about) And frankly, I can admit the art is below-par, it's still a fun manga to read when bored, I agree with your opinion, but even though I'll still read it.

@Alfredooo0s most of the casual players? Definitely won't bother, any of the competitive players though? It'll practically be a requirement (with player making new characters just for getting in the reading before leveling), even if they want to play a melee fighter, they will still need the wisdom for a bolster in their magical defense (otherwise same level casters with equivalent gear will have a flat mechanical advantage over them). Also a lot of people will do a lot of much more mind numbingly boring stuff, like playing fishing mini games for several hours a day in an MMO.

Even without the unique class (which there shouldn't be unique classes / quests that can only be done by one user and that's it) it still gives any wisdom based class a huge advantage in raw bonus stats.
