Olivia of all people being the one to walk up and go "stop being like I used to be!" toward Luna was wonderful. Mage Girl's really turned the corner since becoming a bit more honest with herself and accepting of what Machino's been trying to tell her. I look forward to Sofia fully breaking down her walls as well.
Luna's a treasure, though. And this chapter really drives home this growing trend of "communication and really trying to express your feelings will overcome most problems" that I've seen in romance titles of late - even within the Yuri genre, which is doubly fantastic.

Hopefully whatever's happening with Machino at the end is simple fatigue - though, I suspect it'll be a "plot event" tied into some aspect of the game world coming to her own. But, she's got all her Heroines with her now, so between the five of them I'm hoping there's a solution.

Though the bigger problem will be the need for a bigger house.

Thanks for the TL work as always.

Gosh Luna is too precious.

Meanwhile, this kinda feels like a setup for the classic "otherworlders' presence is somehow tied to the MC and they're draining her energy just by existing there, requiring them to be sent back in a bittersweet parting" kind of plot direction, but hopefully it's just a cold or fatigue.

These two sure got done quick and fast. It's funny how they don't even pretend these two are even real competition for the Machinobowl.

It's mildly concerning. Hopefully it is something like just fatigue as you said because otherwise that's prime final arc sorta plotline. Really hope it's not all signs of the incoming axe. Author's Twitter seems fine and Volume 3 just got announced though so maybe just overthinking it.

Luna's a real cutie. And remarkably short. I love how everyone immediately accepted her and Olivia got to show off her character growth. F for Machino dying of ligma.

I thought it was just the classic setup for the heroines to take care of her, but now you have me worried :worry:

Could also be that the mangaka intended for the manga to be a short one. Not everything has to be about being axed. But let’s wait and see.

I think it would be more so general fatigue and relief that the classic setup, besides, I feel like there is something more to the 'jumping worlds' aspect that no one knows yet.

yeah, probably; at the very least, i'd greatly prefer that lol

just kinda hit that "wait, i've seen this setup before" sort of flag.

the familiar sound of an ax
A lot of these monthly yuri manga only run for a handful of volumes. It isn't because they end up getting axed, but because the author had a solid vision in mind from the outset and are writing a story with the intention of reaching its ending, and not drawing it out as long as possible to maintain sales. Keep in mind that a lot of the people who work on series like this one mainly contribute to anthologies here and there, and aren't actually mangaka as their primary profession. That's not to say that's necessarily the case for this series, but its never really given the vibe of a series that's intended to be an especially long running serialization.

Although with that being said, I could still see this manga running a fair bit longer. Yuri—especially harem yuri—is experiencing a major boom in popularity right now, thanks in no small part to Watanare's incredibly successful anime adaptation. So whether or not this manga is moving into its endgame, or simply the next major stretch of the story now that all five heroines have been reunited with Machino, remains up in the air. I don't see any reason to assume it's getting axed, however.

Sofia and Oliva gets a whole volume focusing on them, Carla, Luna, and Aurora introduction seems a little rushed

It took all of half an introduction chapter for Luna to overcome her internal conflict with Sofia

And immediately after finding everyone machino goes into a coma (final arc cliche) without even "seducing" the 3 remaining heroines

Maybe I'm paranoid but it looks like it's rushing for an ending
