Is there any real explanation why loli's charm on Katsuya doesn't work on Sheryl ??
No explanation yet for now but on their first meeting in chapter 45 Sheryl almost fall into Katsuya's charm, she feels like she want to acknowledge him and even have an imagination of her getting close to him. But Sheryl snap out of it when Akira in her imagination leaving her and it scare her so much she stop having such weird feelings toward Katsuya.

She ended up confused why she have such feelings for Katsuya, a hint about charm powers maybe?

I like the vagueness of the charm powers but I'm still sad they didnt do Akira distancing from everyone and doing revenge for his ego plot like in the LN.
I said it before but I like the webnovel version better because akira feels more selfcentered and has less empathy for others. He put himself first and doesnt take any bs (
as seen when he turns on Elena and Sara
). He's amoral and thus ruthless. That makes him standout as a unique and interesting Protagonist in my eyes.

It's kinda insane just how sinister the AI are in this story, Alpha so far is the only one that directly communicates with her chosen partner but even then she manipulates Akira constantly into achieving her goals by whatever means possible. And the other that shadows Katsuya uses even more overt brainwashing to the point that others even note their strange behavior. Obviously I root for Akira and Alpha out of all of them but I don't see their partnership ending well for him if she doesn't require his aid in the future.
We still haven't caught the barest whiff of Akira gaining independence from Alpha or doubting her motives. I wonder if the story will end with hum just following along.

Honestly at this point Sheryl's political maneuvering seems more interest than Akira's dungeon-diving.

I think what Akira really needs is a more concrete long-term goal than just "survive and get stronger" now that he's started to have a foothold in the world.

Alpha is not sinister, simply because she is transparent about her actions (not in terms of the actions themselves being transparent, but rather in terms of the fact that she is transparent that she is doing them - "I am manipulating you, but not letting you know how" basically) and desires. We might not know what her goals actually are, but we know that to achieve them she will puppeteer us in whatever way she deems ideal, and that it at least includes keeping us alive and at our best condition at least until the final step. Simply because that maximizes our ability to fulfill her goal.

The other ai seems very sinister though, whatwith how she seems to constantly be passively brainwashing people into seeing him favourably, depend on him, and so on. Dunno if sheryl is immune because of personal disposition (possibly biological like mc and katsuya, or simply intellect/emotional state), or if it is because of the deal with alpha of minimizing interference (maybe she is even inversely affected, to make her keep akira's tools from changing their mc). But the way she seems to consider sheryl a threat due to her effect on katsuya seems to indicate it is her own resistance, as the inability to control her would make her even more of a threat to the ai's well-constructed plans.
