Name one correct choice Katsuya made up until this point. The list is short as all hell, I'm certain.
To be fair realizing that he is not meant to be a leader but a soldier is probably the smartest decision he made. Just because someone is a great fighter doesn't mean they're a great leader. Him passing it off to Yumina who is able and willing to get her hands dirty and make the tough decisions is actually pretty smart... he probably should have broadcasted that decision though so everyone will know and not cause confusion.

I think the biggest problem with Katsuya is that he accidentally surrounded himself with idiots and yes men who can't think for themselves and rely in him for every little thing. Then when they finally try to be independent and like Katsuya they don't have the skills to back it up.

Ironically I think if Akira and Katsuya could get over their issues they would make a great team and compliment each other well.

Akira would be blunt and cold but would be able to keep up and keep each other's worst tendencies in check while having the skill to back up their bluster.

To me part of the problem is that Katsuya just can't see why Akira is strong and it kind of breaks his mind, especially with the AI prodding him. Looking back chapter 55 and 59 shows just how much the AI messes with him and gives him commands. The AI's talk about making Katsuya.. unstable at the start of 60.

I guess this is the drawback with loli alpha's hands-off approach over alpha, if your contractor's a suicidal hero sort, you can't pull him back unless you've completely erased his will to only follow your orders instead of subtle mental nudging.
The loli is hands on, more than Alpha, she's been screwing with his perception to make him see and hear whatever will make him the edgiest. She probably played that recording of Sheryl to make him give up on trying to save people.

honestly, it feels more like deduction instead of actual spoiler. everyone can deduce more or less that much by this point.
but do you have more relevant "spoiler" that are more like spoiler that you can share?
If you want some more information about the AIs and their approach to their goal, there is more shared through side stories In the novel. Actual spoilers of consequence, but I have no idea how long it will take to affect things in the comic's story.

If you want something like Katsuya's fate, well this story is different enough, I don't think I could give a statement on events.

A bit of a rehash, but need to start with the same bedrock.
The AI running with Katsuya and our MC are both part of the same computer system that has been running tests for generations. It is trying to get an organic to reach the bottom level of a ruin to do something beyond a place where wireless networks don't work.

Each prior time it recruited people, it took a different approach to motivate and guide the person to the goal. It has failed each time, where many died, others gave up, others turned on the computer.

So, this time the computer decided to split it's processing resources and recruited two different people. Katsuya and Akira. The system modified is approach by learning from failures with earlier attempts and so the one taken in this time are quite different from each other. it is a high level catfishing.

Katsuya hasn't acknowledged the AI assistance and hasn't given it full access to himself. Not sure if he even realizes it is there. The AI to help does things like creating a network between the people and him around him (his harem) that subconsciously bends there minds to support him and agree with him. Also "whispers" information to give Katsuya better information about the battleground which comes off as "his intuition."

Akira has seen and given his AI full access to his person and it also is creating a network around him. I forget if it is the AI, but I'm thinking it is Akira himself that doubts himself so much it influences others in the network to also doubt him (why he is looked down upon all the time). The AI is also training him to make a single super soldier as compared to Katsuya's harem army.

There is more in regards to what the networks are and work, but that'd be spoiler creep beyond what the AIs guiding them are and what they are doing on a macro level. Below should explain what the networks I talked about are.

The network is made up of connected personal nano machines which every person has running through their bodies. The people in the slum in particular have more of them than others. So, every person has a built in communication device that they don't know about and can't control (why they can be influenced and hacked). This is the tail end of the hyper advanced society that is now just the ruins around them. Akira does have a higher than normal amount of these nano machines which is what allows him to see the AI and other things.
