BUT, going by the dialogue, the 'generic bad guy'ness, the facial expressions etc. it was quite obvious that the trajectory of that encounter was going to end in the group of thugs sexing the girls, and the girls were obviously not going to give their consent. It hadn't started yet, but was going to happen. It didn't because Akira went and splattered some dude's brains out all over the ground.
