This week, we've removed 59 titles out of approximately 109,900 titles being tracked and discussed on the platform. Some of the titles were reported by our legal and compliance department as not conforming to clause 3.1.1 of MangaDex's Content Policy, in particular, depictions of drawn young children in sexual settings, and needing to be removed after we were made aware of their presence in the service.
MangaDex is a UGC platform and upholds applicable law, including copyright law. This has always been the case, from removals like One Piece, Demon Slayer, and My Hero Academia earlier this decade, to the large removal in May 2025 and the thousands of removals since then. The company does not have data prior to April 2025, but anything since will be added to the Transparency Report in our Copyright Centre shortly: https://mangadex.org/copyright/transparency
We will continue to develop the platform into a great service for discovering, discussing, tracking, and reading manga, comics, and other works. Thank you to those using the Feed. We will soon expand its utility to allow you to comment on titles and entries within the site itself, so please look forward to it.
