Surprisingly, she makes good rival material. Zhan Hao does need someone to compete with, and Tao Hua did technically overcome him with her technique. You have to admire her gumption to steal techniques from someone who casually broke her ankle.

Indeed, it's a bit of a surprise.
The MC was a psycho, and only seemed like a normal boy due to a charm spell.
And the romance target was a yandere who got hooked on the sadistic feeling she got from the change in attitude.

I was a bit disappointed to see the mc suddenly become less... human, but that might actually work.

so zhan hao is a psycho but maybe also not probably to an extent, cause he really cared about his father and general morality too, (or maybe he only cares about his equals?)

but i think the girl will still be pretty cute considering she isn't like totally hopeless as a person
though i don't know about their relationship working out at all lol, he's capable of emotion and loyalty but he's also got a surprising amount of ego it seems, (maybe he's just very self driven on his ideals, so he stops giving a fuck if his ideals don't line up) (the characters have a surprising amount of nuance even if it's not all clearly consistent to me yet)

i maybe should've seen her weird, crazy possessive urge thing coming considering how much of a self-worth problem she seems to actually have,

i know they're both totally f$cked up but i can't help but feel like they're not hopeless, as individuals anyways, at least they're driven for decent goals(though for questionable reasons),
as a pair though, for now, i'm seriously just scared of what zhan hao will do to her when she tries to control him like a creep,

you need to find actual love my boy (with the last chapter and him questioning her reasons, probably means that he at least came to care about her though that's kinda F*kd now)
i think the author might've done the romantic development thing on zhan hao on purpose, so that we still want him to someday get his emotions back a bit, and root for his development in that direction too and not just want him to be a madman, and her being a villain is not bad considering her having that game system thing

( speaking about the sadist-crush, i wonder if all sadists secretly have low self-esteem and insecurity in some areas,
any sadists here to confirm?)

This was very surprising. I like how this is going it's very different from other cultivation stories so far. I honestly think she just gets a high of him acting like someone lower than her not actual love. Now that Zhan Hao's previous mentality resurfaced he might ask the authorities for a solution to protect him from curses in the future.

Wow, there are people still defending her for putting a manipulation charm on him, not because he was emotionless, but because she wanted him to fall for her as payback for how he treated her in the past.

She didn't do it for his sake she did it because she was petty, spiteful, and obsessive. She even stated that she originally did it because she wanted to find out the secrets behind his family techniques.

It is not love. It's her getting high/wet from how lowly he's acting towards her compared to how he was before she put the charm on him.

I mean if you guys love the mind-fak yandere types that are 100% fine, I personally like Toga from bnha. But let's not try to justify her actions.
