Thanks for explaining this--I feel like it was really confusing in the manga, and honestly I still don't completely get it, but at least I understand that Mikagami took a kamikaze action now.

As dynamic as the art is, it really lacks clarity sometimes.

It doesn't help that there's a blatant error. Alice already fell off by the time they're both attacking him, but then is on his shoulders again when they do, before disappearing again on the next page when he takes both shots.
Despite this though, it's a fairly easy to follow logically even with the chaotic visuals. Alice "fainted" after the two were blasted with ice shards. Neither Vivian nor Paula had any reason to waste time or effort on her and could instead just finish Mikagami by launching more attacks than he can redirect for the win. You could argue Vivian would do it out of spite, but she wants a reaction. She's not getting that out of an unconscious person.

Interestingly enough, it's also reasonable to assume he already knew Alice was faking it without a signal in order to make the decision to sacrifice himself to take out Paula given that he continued to make use of her abilities. He knows he can't copy someone who is unconscious.

Some people have forgotten that in the colosseum even if you die in a fight or lose limbs you get revived and fully healed in the end. It's still unexplained if it works in all circumstances and how it works, but several times people have died in the fight.

In any case unless the dancer manages to do something without her legs, Mikagami wins again.

And y'all should also keep in mind that this is literally Alice's signature move, bisecting someone with Spatial Swap or worse. Like, this is literally how she's solved every fight she's ever had, and she had plenty of slaves.

Now we're on to Fine's duel. My personal hope is that fine has a twin sister... or better yet, a twin 'sister'.

He gets both of them; Vivi successfully requested Desmos for a one-time rule change to make things more exciting at the end of chapter 28, since, and I quote, "I have no use for trash like her," and "Even when I win-! It's boring as hell if the slave I get isn't you, but this little pipsqueak!"

Alice may be a little upset that she doesn't get first dibs at putting Vivi in her place, or at least attempting to, but I'm sure she'll change her tune when she gets her hands on an exhausted Vivi, with Paula as a side dish, after 3 days~

Lots to look forward that's for sure. We'll see where this ride takes us!

bro what are you talking about? paula has such a sexy design and imo vivi (patch girl) is way better than the timid, scared nun we got last time. vivi and paula designs are better and personality is more fun than that nun

To be fair, that nun got done dirty. Her design was peak at first, but got flanderized into a blob (I man, seriously, the limb lengths etc. at the end where we last saw her were at some dwarf thing level). You put the first and last showing next to each other and they are two different characters.
