I saw it as, "They don't have people doing whole routines out of comedy" not it doesn't exist. There is a difference between a professional comedian and some kid making his friends laugh with a quick joke, and while jesters and the like have existed for a while, not many would actually see things like that and probably all the more so in a setting like this where the primary entertainment is gladiators fighting.Are you being serious?
