Skipping the initial setup and jumping to a later point is a reasonable way to check for story and translation quality. And based on those 6 chapters, I think the story is poor.

Story is pretty good, but such a plot-heavy story needs if not high-quiality translation, but at least competent one. It's pretty much impossible to follow story when names change several times in 36 chapters, character in dialogues refer themselves as someone else, phrases of characters get switched and so on. I'm not even sure if edited MTL can be THIS bad. And this is the case with both Lua and Reset, they're truly compete in how awful translation could possibly be.

Art is good one, reminds me of Book Eater, so this art may be not for everyone.

Compared to Damned Reincarnation, this one is much more competent plot-wise. Comrades feel much more alive and realistic, their legacy shown much better and boring fights are much rarer.

Not to mention the translator has the continuity of a goldfish, they mistranlate nouns and pronouns all the time to the point that it's like a different translator not only works on each sentence, but a whole new team works on each chapter.

i wish someone would snipe every single series Lua scans ever worked on, they are parasites with some of the worst quality translations out there, MTL level garbage.

Idk wtf is wrong with people, this series is really fucking good. Well paced, interesting characters with occasionally some pretty strong character moments, good plot, and an interesting art style. Only problem with it are these shit translations, but it's at least readable. I can kinda understand why people think it's a little generic, but that's only at a surface level.

Nothing is for everyone, but most of the negative comments here made me wonder if I was even reading the same series as the commenters. This is good and absolutely worth checking out for any potential readers looking through the comments to see if it's worth the time.

It has good moments, and then it has trash moments. It's character power scales poorly, which leads to more of the trash moments. It's worse when it drags on over multiple chapters like the current 'ink' kid. If you read enough hero party regression stories, I would have said it's better than most until the last handful of chapters have me considering dropping it.

May let it cook a while to see if it gets over this boring lull.

Just finished chapter 48, all I have to say is, I'm not invested anymore. Krista has become more annoying and has the most predictable story, and this 'character redemption' shit is genuinely so dogshit funny.

I'm not going to read a story where I don't like the characters. Mc and Logan are chill as fuck, but when it comes to the other characters, it's like picking out of a pile of shit, it'll forever be a pile of shit.
