Ok that "we could see that you are a woman because of your bones" stuff is just pretty stupid. Also gender is the wrong word in this context. What they refering to is anatomical sex. Gender is about what a certain part of the brain is like. Idk what word was used in the original so idk if this is something that comes from the original text or the translation.

The chapters feel so short, i wish they were longer. I'll take whatever i can get tho.
Thank you for the translations!

For those curious, this was handled differently in the WN.
She basically caused too much spectacle during the arena fight and 2nd Prince got suspicious. I don’t remember if they did find out her true identity this early. But they do eventually I believe. Compared to her cover being blown immediately like in the manga, her whole thing was slowly being uncovered because her actions gave away stuff. So basically she’s not suited for infiltration missions.

How long is this arc, may I ask ?

Hmmmm….originally in the WN it was quite long. This whole “exile” bit spanned about 230 odd chapters. But considering how the manga just obliterated the useless filler, changed how certain stuff happened, and considering what changes could have happened in the LN version that may translate into the manga. It will probably still be long but not as long as before. It wasn’t solely Alicia’s stuff, the arc included what happens to Liz, what Alicia’s ward Jill/Gille was doing in the meantime, what Duke was doing, the changes at the academy from those events, the isolated village, who Alicia meets, some more lore surrounding stuff.

Adapted to manga…..I’m thinking about maybe 30+ chapters. Give or take. For all we know, the arc could have been shortened a lot because of the changes.

I'm not too familiar with the WN myself. However, I do know a bit on the LN side.

In terms of the LN...

The Author is still basically following the basic structure of the WN version. Whenever the First Prince was interested in Ria at all or not is up in the air, but the Second Prince was definitely curious/suspicious of this boy in the gladiator pit. IIRC, the Royal family (including the King) was there instead of just the princes too.

There was no "directly from the battle" confrontation as seen here. The First Prince went away to the background while Ria went on for a few days until she was summoned to the Second Prince. This is where after close contact, the Prince really picked and prodded at things until she messed up a bit and shown that she was actually a "girl" instead of the boy she was trying to be.

i don't really remember if there was this whole sequence between the beast handler, his brother, and Ria when she was healing the Lion. I don't think so? However, she did manage to get the Lion out of the Gladiator pit and became her pet. IIRC, the lion changed colors when she healed it. Curious that it didn't get noted here.

In the LN, it did show her to be fairly unable to really keep up a deep infiltration that is needed in the long run. However, it was miles better than the incompetency that is shown/implied in the Manga. I guess for the adaption, they just cut through the "do they know?" suspension for it.

Also, Alicia tried hard at both raising her magic and body while also maintaining the image of a noble lady. For her, failing at such basic things to maintain her own self-image of what the Best Villainous Lady in the world is unacceptable, so having soft lady-like hands is to be expected while also being scarily competent and powerful.

Also, it is not yet outright stated that they know "she has magic". I see some people mentioning it here and that's just not yet confirmed at this point in the story.

However, considering how divergent the Arc has been from the source, I wouldn't be too surprised if things absolutely changes on things.

Thanks for the TL!

Would she have soft hands? She's been training herself since childhood in all forms of combat.
