Yea, it felt more like a mix of random panels that a coherent story. And the last chapter is just a joke, it explains literally nothing. Seriously, I don't know how and why someone decided to fuck up manga in the end that much.
The story is hard enough to understand for somebody who has read the novel.
They skipped over so much that even with the knowledge of everything its hard to follow.
Like they could have ended the story early, but instead choose to cram like 200 chapters wortth of content into 10.

No joke. I've never read LN but I've been with this manga since chapter 1 and sure- sometimes there were some minor simplifications or jumps that could be sensed even without knowledge of the source material, but all of this happened in a let's say conventional and very subtle way. However, what happened at the very end genuinely looks like a sorry ass attempt to squeeze 200 chapters into 10, because even the panels at the same height do not match each other in context. I genuinely thought that someone had either made a belated April Fool's joke or made a genuine mistake and mixed up several titles in photoshop, because nothing made sense there. And the last “chapter” is a complete mockery- this not-nuke, some nondescript personas, wannabe angels, out-of-the-ass "teleport" and I'm home.
Someone once said that using phrase "one thing led to another" is a remark of poor writer because it's the sole writer role to present what happened in the meantime as a whole and this last dozen of chapters it was like "Hitler was born, one thing led to another and he lost WW2".

Yeah, it's depressing really...
Here is some extra context for the ending if you want some slightly less disorganised spoilers.
( but only slightly less )
I forgot about a LARGE part of the story and wont be able to describe everything in very great detail....
Becouse the light novel still has like 1/3rd left of the story....
After the demon general died, another pair of generals was assigned WITH the demon's super flying weapon of mass destruction, which is basically a flying island with a red mist tower.
This starts another war arc, and is basically the demon war 2.0 and equally long as the last one.
( Demons are now invading all corners of humanity, and not only MC´s city )
MC invents better aeroplanes ( and nukes )
With the planes + nukes, they defeat one of the demon generals and blow up the flying island, basically ending the Battle of Divine Will with the demons as the demons can no longer put up a fight against humanity.
( and they also start losing the war against the sea beasts after this happens)
Before the demons lose to humanity, one of the generals finds out that MC can fuck around with the dream world.
The other one does a magical ritual afterwards that sends herself into MC´s dream world.
(This is the demon MC is talking to, and the dream world is technically "a real world " )
She becomes a helpful side character in the dream world and helps the MC fight the other monsters in there.
And those monsters are working for "God" and are behind the Battle of Divine Will
While all of that is going on, the fish witch lady who disappeared returns after basically swimming around the world.
She brings alot of inteligence on the other side of the world and the new threat, the demonic sea beasts.
The demonic sea beasts are also fighting the demons btw and was made by "God"
And they are by far the strongest participant in the Battle of Divine Will.
Its kind of a hivemind that mutates/upgrades + mind controls everything it gets in contact with or something?
It is also the reason why humanity gets attacked every winter season by mutated creatures.
It is basically sending all the mindless "failures" to attack/scout humanity and uses the good ones to fight the demons.
MC starts fighting the sea demons and figures out there is a "cradle of all magic" or something.
And it is somewhere in the demonic beast territory.
By doing a suicide mission and entering the cradle ( which they talked about but never showed in the ending )
MC fights with "God" ( who btw is an AI made to speed up evolution, because ofc it is ??? )
And then he becomes a new god and gets the power to travel between his "dream world" and the one he is in now.
By doing that, he can resurrect his sister's dead lover (Ash,the one who died fighting the first general )
Win the whole Battle of Divine Will and import items from the dream world to the magical world.
After becoming a god in both worlds and winning the war against both races:
He settles down in the dream world and lives a normal everyday life with his new wife (Anna)
And also his possibly "new mistress", who lives with them in their house for no reason whatsoever ( Nighttengale )
The author's wife was extremely against harems, so MC never marries Nighttengale.
But Anna does eventually agree to nighttengale having a relationship with MC before they win the "Demon War 2.0" .
So it's extremely hinted towards them ending up together.
Even if it was never confirmed, which is why the last pages are what they are.

Jesus Christ, thanks so much for this long spoiler, now all those single panels makes perfect sense. And it sounds like easily another 100-150 chapters if you wanted to go somewhat along with source material. And honestly I'm now even more pissed because it sounds sooo awesome. Why would they hack and ax this title at the best moment? WHY. Why every good title is being killed and desecrated in the process and yet we get so much shit titles with either some underaged girls flashing panties playing saving the world with diabetes and rainbow or even worse, even shittier literal flood of Korean “artists” who create something that can only be described as horny-monkey-fucking-yet-another-milf porn (and not even soft), as if they were collectively suffering from an itchy dick because they haven't fucked in a long time. Beats me.
While it sounds awesome in a short spoiler format, the original WN is not in the best state at the end, IMHO.
I like WN very much, but in my opinion it became kinda messy closer to the end, especially somewhere around flying island appeared in the story.
While I extremely love first half of the story, I didn't finished last 100 chapters of second half.
Thus, I can understand why manga writers has decided to wrap things up. Although I believe they could try to improve it, instead of skipping entirely.
And I'm saying this knowing nothing about their financial state, which probably has significant influence at their decision.
