Yes, that’s the only thing that would hold me back. Bullies were extremely unkind in my area (so unkind that sometimes the teachers sat back and watched you strike back at them and didn’t do a thing). And I grew up in one of those side neighbourhoods where everyone has to go past everyone else’s door at some point for something. (Small tic tax toe board?)

That and it’s hard enough to break out of who you are/where... you’d have to be dedicated to changing enough to make it matter, but not so much to completely change the parts your happy with.

I remembered reading this while it was on-going, can't believe it was years since that, but man it was such a satisfactory ending .
I'm glad I picked it back again.

@GodricKharg
Yeah I regret a lot of things about my past, but honestly despite all of my mistakes I wouldn't come back to amend any, I'd only want to do all the things I couldn't do at the time and enjoy myself.

Good ending. Only thing I didn't like in the entire manga was the forced tone shift where at first they were like "The MC and his live interest will be forced apart because the company will wipe their memories" to "The company are actually good guys and don't want to mind wipe but it's automatic so it can't be helped". Given the ending it's clear the writer decided to switch from "Re:life being like an antagonist in the series" to "the MC and Girl join the company at the end" so they had to make the company not heartless bastards.

And I'm not imagining it either. At the start they clearly said "we'll erase your memories" with no implication it was automatic. And there was a clear forshadow of the company forcing the memory wipe. But then suddenly we get a chapter that goes out of it's way to have the Re:Life employees say "Oh boy I sure do love how great those too are as a couple. I wish we could do something about the automatic memory wipe that we can't stop even if we wanted to which we TOTALLY do". The scene felt so IN YOUR FACE it's clear the author wanted to make sure there was no question that the Re:Life employees were all good people that didn't want to hurt the MC and not at all an antagonist.

There is never any implication that the people at Relife were just a bunch of heartless, corruptive a-holes trying to scar people. The whole point was to help people who are NEETs be rehabilitated back into society. The memory erasing is just to remove the suspension once the younger versions of the subjects disappear and help keep company on the down low.

Technically, it has been mentioned that the mediacal professionals at Relife only were partially certain that the memory erasing was irreversible. Everything was experimental, so they weren't certain what would happen until the end of the experiment.
This concern was only focused on Arata and Chizuru because of the connection they have. Since they were both Relife subjects, both already aware of the program, there should be no problem with allowing them to both keep their memories. However, since this is the first time they've had two subjects during the same experiment, how to possibly reverse the memory erasing effect was scientifically unknown.
The returning of their memories, however, is actually no different then regaining a memory that you haven't thought about in years just suddenly hitting you. So it can be assumed that the memories aren't actually erased but repressed; lost somewhere in the brain. I mean if you experienced having the same phone strap as somebody or recalling things you heard in the past during an event that you remember being at, wouldn't it start to jog some thoughts of that person, even if it's a memory you forgot about a long time ago?

Thank you so much for working hard on translating because of you guys I was able to read and love this manga so much. This manga and all of the main characters, I love ‘em so much. I wanted to thank the author of this. This manga will surely be my go back, most especially when I’m feeling down and feel like everything seems meaningless, I swear.

Really glad the manga showed Kaizaki crossing paths with all of their old friends once his relife was over. The anime had to cut all of it except for Ohga, when he visited to speak to the brother about becoming a subject, presumably for the sake of time.

Feels good man.

10/10

Man this was so good. One of my all-time favorites. It had it's drama and such, and it was so bittersweet towards the end that it made my head hurt from crying. In the end though, it had such a sweet, happy, and adorable ending. I absolutely love every bit of it.

Man just finished rereading ReLife, still a 10/10 manga

As for doing the experiment, a few years ago I would have said yes in a heartbeat, but my life is great now that I’m not a NEET anymore.

Also regarding the comments about the high school, the company picks and choose which schools they’ll go to, so it shouldn’t be TOO bad.
