I loved looking at Navier's new look this chapter. This is the first time she's worn a color other than red. Even when they show the imaginary event where Sovieshu is accompanying her they're both wearing red. She looks so much more relaxed, youthful, and softer in blue. I'm thinking that might be the Western Empire's color and or at least have the visually symbolic meaning of letting go of her duties

I feel sympathetic towards Rashta because she is a slave so she has limited means of getting a higher status and/or a better treatment in life. Also, it seems like she was likely abused and harmed before meeting the emperor. For a former slave she used whatever means at her disposal to get herself a better life and status. Of course, I don’t think what she has done to Her majesty is right nor do I condone cheating. However, she is just a concubine without family backing and whose status can easily fall to ruin with just a passing glance from the emperor whereas her majesty is likely more stable in her position and may even have her family’s support. In any case, I feel pity for Rashta and hope that she can find a happier and better path in life. Lastly, free herself from the viscounts disgusting grasp. Honestly, I feel even more pity seeing Rashta about to be manipulated by a viscount that allegedly killed their baby.

So she's actually not some clever scheming villain who orchestrated a meeting with the emperor for the sake of claiming the throne or some shit. She's actually just a random slave who's understandably ignorant of how noble society works.
That means her behavior and continued ignorance is literally entirely the emperor's fault, huh.

I don’t feel bad for Rashta coming from a slave background. The way she did it was out of line. It would have been fine if she was content with staying as concubine as that’s already a BIG improvement from where she was but it’s apparent she’s after the empress seat. It would also be different if her character was good but she’s conniving.
