I absolutely agree. Obviously, someone's history doesn't justify or absolve them of their flaws, but it does explain their decisionmaking and actions. Your response was refreshing, since it takes into account the breadth in which these ladies' backstories shape their interactions with one another. The cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds they come from are completely different so why so many readers feel okay placing them on an even playing field to pit them against one another is... tired.

I decided to lay off replying to all the hate responses I got for my hot take. 😅
Im not a fan of rashta personally; as I've said, shes bumbling, naive, and stupid at times. But what im not a fan of is the classist and misogynistic arguments against her, an ex-slave.
Going back and forth was fun for a bit but honestly there's no convincing people to stop seeing things so simply when they're so insistent upon these myopic views.

So I stopped reading at chapter 20 something because it was getting boring, and only came back now hoping that things would have picked up. They haven't, but I need to say this

Her brother is a moron. Abortitives in Rashta's food? Honestly if Sovieshu were the least bit more impulsive that could have gotten Navier executed: there isn't any way for her to prove she wasn't involved. And then he KEEPS AT IT. Like you show up out of no where and go to work endangering your supposedly beloved sister for what, your own pride? Clearly it isn't for her benefit. honestly throw every male character in this manwha away, including the male lead.

Also we're 60 chapters in and not even a hint of explanation about why ML and a couple of his subordinates turn into birds. Like we're only just now introducing the concept of magic and mages and it feels like an afterthought.

At this point Rashta's scenes are the most enjoyable to read, because as much as her immaturity and speech patterns get annoying, she's INTERESTING at least, she drives story progression, makes things happen, and has realistic motives. I actually enjoy seeing her side of things, especially when we jump back and forth between her genuine panic about falling back to the bottom versus her cloying innocent act to try and keep it from happening.

Honestly the men in this comic are just awful. I don't know if the author just can't write decent make characters, but I can't stand how just terrible they are. The brother, the love interest, the villains, the king. All of them suck. The king's aid is like the only decent guy. It's kinda disappointing to see all the guys like this.

imo this manhwa is really good though it’s a bit slow-paced. All the negative comments about it threw me off at first, but it’s enjoyable. Yes, although some of the men here aren’t the best and trashta should just drop dead, the storyline and plot is great. I’m excited for the divorce episode. It’s all my own personal opinion though, a lot of people may think otherwise.
