i feel stupid, so renge's grandma put narutos on the postcards after receiving? or she just doesnt remember doing it?

No. Renge put narutos on the postcards, but never sent them. She wanted her grandma to come get her, but presumably couldn't work up the courage to send the postcard or to trouble her grandmother with having to care for her again.

Don't let the Librarian know about this or she will become 200% motivated to ruin it all.

The feels hit hard with this chapter, especially in my case. I lost my grandma just 2 years ago, and she was the splittin' image of how the author portraited Renge's grandma in this chapter...

This is so sad and beautiful :meguuusad:

Something got me thinking tho, in page 12 we were shown Renge in an old single room apartment alone, but in the next page she was in much nicer looking room with other childs being around. My thought of this is she was living with her mom previously, but something or another happened then she lives in the foster care with all the other children. Despite all this, why wouldn't she reach out to her grandma or vice-versa her grandma reach out to her and took her in.

This was a really good way of showing character backstory rather than an expo dump. The artist's work with eyes is amazing, too :salute:

Speaking of which, mine seem to be leaking a lot...

BTW, what grandma did here, I’m pretty sure it’s something you do when you suspect a kid to be in a situation where they are in an abusive environment. If the kid would simply write it clearly, a potential abusive guardian could see it and just destroy the letter/postcard instead of sending it. But disguised as an “innocent” code drawing, they can’t know what it’s really about, and are more likely to pass the message.
The fact that Renge seemingly ended up in a foster home might not have been because her mother died or got sick… :nyoron:
