As the other commentators said in the prior chapter, it was an unhealthy codependency, so ending it was the right move. But interesting to see that she ended it on her terms and, for her personality, in a pretty nice way.

This is probably the closest to a realistic happy end you can reach with a situation like this.

Usually i hate sad endings in manga but this was well done, much more meaningful than some idealised unrealistic "good ending" would have been.
It helps that i find the main character very relatable.

This did stick admirably to the rental girlfriend core idea. Even if it hurt, she stayed a rental girlfriend, nothing more, nothing less. Neither the MMC or the FMC were exactly mentally fully healthy, so this bit of professionalism from her was exactly the correct thing to do to cut the path to even more suffering.

I would like a happy ending but given the circumstances of their "relationship", it made sense to end it this way. They would've fallen apart & not happy after the honeymoon phase. Sucks for them but I do hope they end up better after all of this. I will mention how the art really degraded after the 1st 5 chapters but funny that the author transitioned to hentai. Thanks for translating this to completion & kudos to @HeatManga for starting this story.

well shit that was really good! shockingly strong ending that was sad but didn't go all the way into like overwhelming despair and over the top choices. very realistic and rough and honest choices. didn't expect to be such a fan
