So basically, they're both garbage.

To be fair, they were 15 year olds in First Love™, and everyone is terrible and stupid in that situation. But these two apparently never got over or grew out of that phase.

It was interesting but hey, simply don't be a bitch it will save you a lot of headaches (who admit to cheating, not reciprocate love and gush about her ex on a first date?) heh!

If your immediate conclusion is "they're cheating 100%" to seeing your husband/wife/bf/gf that's low self esteem talking. How do you expect to be married for life if you are skeptical of your partner every time they interact with the opposite sex. The normal person (or at least me) would be suspicious at BEST if they saw them outside a hotel (it's not as incriminating as outside their house, or a love hotel). Then they would try to figure out who the other person is. You see common tropes like "Girl is cheating, but it turns out it's their relative" too damn often after all.

Also, see it from the girl's angle. Her boyfriend out of the blue accuses her of cheating. She denies it and he shows "proof" (basically a creepy stalker photo with her dad). At that moment she was just done with him since he didn't seem to have a notion of trust in her, so she didn't deny him.

Although I'm not defending her fully: If I was treated like the way he was, I would probably assume she's cheating too.
You do realize that (Love) Hotels are basically places where people go to have sex, right?

That was a wild story, but I still don't understand why she admitted to cheating when she didn't 😕
cause women, especially adolescent girls like to act as if you can read their minds and gets mad when you do something and they act like its your fault for not being able to tell what they are thinking, honestly its fckn annoying dealing with it and this girl has a bad case of it

Honestly speaking, it's the girl's fault. Now the boy isn't a saint either but if she corrected him on the spot we wouldn't be here and who knows her self realization would take a different turn and the boy would end up a pathetic loser with no self esteem and insecure pos. Story is kinda unfair but also drives us to think how the stars aling to actually meet once again only to make the boy feel like the real winner.

It's complex that I can't root for anyone.

Best moment of the chapter was when she jumped on him from behind to stop him from leaving.

Everything after that (last 10 pages) was so dumb though.

Like... sure, it was incredibly dumb of her to not deny the cheating; hell, let alone move away, he could have offed himself. And she was arrogant back then, sure. She's the one mostly at fault. This revenge prank was obviously mean but he immediately cleared it up with her.

But if they know they both like each other so much in the present, why is this guy being a needlessly edgy contrarian and forcing her to chase after him like some wimpy Heisei era harem MC who's afraid of women? What is the purpose??

Immaturity + emotional reaction.

To explain her side - he accused her of cheating, and he showed her pictures and she got mad. She says she was too full of herself having had someone confess to her and his low self esteem and "simping" behavior made her not super into him, and because of his accusation she convinced herself she didn't like him and decided to just ignore him like he ignored her. Basically the silent treatment. Immature shit, but they were middle schoolers, what do you expect? However, later on she realized her feelings, her mistake, and all the good things about him she never noticed before, and he had already moved away.

Ultimately I like this story, though I went in expecting incel bullshit it turned out quite realistic in a lot of ways. The stupidity of her actions is pretty realistic for 14-15 year old logic.
The first level-headed answer I found, instead of simply considering those two "shitty".

I like the crazy vibe of the story. The story feels like a fantasy i could imagine. The conflicting feeling the dude have between his grudge and his undeniable love. I think the ending was kinda meh because it felt cheap but it wasnt bad.
