He kept blushing around her and didn't deny her when she said about tea. Could have had a firm no or report to HR. Wasted time drawing this tbh author, I bet 99% of readers already dont care about how Karin baited Kippei, the end result is still the same, he betrayed Aoi so painting him as a victim in this so called backstory is just rage baiting at this point.

Then again maybe editor is the one that suggest this to milk out more chapter of an almost climax of the story.

Oh, I like how cartoonish evil Karin is but my problem is with Kippei. We all know he's a coward but I think this is just stretching about how much he has no spine.

Well the jdrama condensed it to like ten eps so yeah , guess they needed an excuse to stall so Mirai would have enough time to burst in
