banality of evil BTFO'd
I can’t tell if it was meant to be derisive or self-deprecating, so unless someone can decisively identify which, I assume it’s the latter. The “difference” between the two of them being that they were both long-term employees in the household (the MC having become the chief bodyguard), but the butler has lasted long enough to become an old man because he closed his heart off entirely, unlike the MC who finally couldn’t hold back anymore.Wait I don't understand why the butler laughed at him.Can someone explain

It's exactly why communism will never work. The flaw with any system that isn't capitalism is that they require humans to facilitate them and most humans are greedy mother fuckers that can't resist temptation.@Snakeykid1
lol
If that distinction disappears then people will simply seek another one to start over again and on and on on. That's what being human is in the end.
Half the world lives on less than 5 dollars per day. And, poor is a broad term. Some people live in a house and are poor. Others don't and you'd still consider them as poor. Your justification has so many fallacies, it's ironic@Tamerlane
Right you are, Ben. I mean, Tamerlane.
We are in the era that is the wealthiest, most secure, and healthiest it has ever been in himan history. I'd take being poor at this age than being a king in the middle ages. Though if I play my cards right and stay away from the bad things like gambling or drugs, I won't stay poor.
My dad used to be a houseboy (servant) and with the little capital he had, he started a store that sells coconuts. He got me and 6 of my siblings through college. I won't have some brainwashed juvenile piss on what he and others like him have accomplished, and I certainly won't stand for that "the rich steal from the poor" bullcrap
