This is true. Some people don't seem to realize you need chapters to cover the lore in the world, to make it more rich and interesting. This one did this showing the point of view from 3 races about a holiday and its origins.

I don't really care about whats happening on those winged people.

I don't care about these winged people they are an after thought until they meet the main cast inserting anything else about them is irrelevant while I do like lore and world building for a monthly series though it's better to focus on main cast or plot and insert it after these characters are relevant in some way. All they are is a possible threat to mc's but we don't know until plot progresses they are a waste of pages in my opinion what made it worse is I didn't get to see Saliy give Chris the cake but an irrelevant angel get a gift so which might be why I'm a bit too upset over it.
