I believe, and I'm not completely confident in this, but I think that she wanted to be successful and wealthy on her own, completely separate from her family. It's probably said in earlier chapters but I can't be bothered to check

Huh, prince actually held himself back. Sort of.
Like others have said, the time skip does feel out of place, even unnecessary. 2 years isnt a whole lot of time to majorly change the setting or narrative of the story, and while it would take time to build helga's business and capitol, the manga has never been that strict withkeeping time before, so they could have well just fudged a few months over a cuople of chapters

Ready to go back? I wonder what has changed since "I will never go back." Is the Eutrid house fallen into squalor? Did the prince make a political marriage with Dillet? Or is Helga just rolling in fat stacks and thinks she can dictate her own terms?
