this is turning very interesting. it's a bit like One Punch Man where as soon as the MC gets to do something it's the end of the story. in this case the main character is so strong that you inevitably end up rooting for her opponent too. that's fun

It would be pretty epic if she lands this punch full force, and the author does a hard left turn and okome ends up blowing the other boxer's brains out with one punch, instantly killing her, okome goes to jail, series over.

I think it's more of a manga trope thing cuz of boxing CTE posterboys Ippo and Ashita no Joe. Yamato Damashi and tanking all the hits and being a REAL MAN™ and shit. No boxing trainer is going to actually say "Oh she's not taking haymakers to the face she's a bad boxer"
