This assassination seems poorly thought out. The minister seemed to want to stop the two kingdoms from forging closer ties, as that would put them in a bad position (already lost trading opportunities, for example). But if that's the case, they need the death to at least looks like it was caused by negligence of some kind. If it's an obvious assassination in the middle of the ceremony, with guests from all over, it could easily lead to both kingdoms joining forces to hunt down whoever is responsible. And how will the assassins escape? Security should be extremely high, expecting this to go off without anyone figuring out the culprit is unrealistic.

Literally the only criticism of the assassination plot in this entire comment section. The only question anyone here should be asking is what the Chancellor is hoping to accomplish with this scheme that seems stupid at surface-level.

I mean, how those assassins were able to GET there undetected in the first place shouldn't even be a question.. considering the Chancellor is behind it can is a person in a very high position of power who has many strings to pull, if not outright being one of the organizers for the event itself. Would be very easy to sneak some assassins—maybe even dumbass "prank" Youtubers—into some bushes if that's the case.

I mean, in the past 5 years.. my good ol' home country the USA has literally seen TWO far more stupid examples of morons getting into what should've been extremely well-guarded places due to wildly-poor handling of security—whether you want to believe conspiracy or not.

Whether it be the domestic terrorists (Oath Keepers and Proud Boys) who spearheaded the storming of the U.S. Capitol on 1/6/2021.. or Thomas Crooks who somehow accessed an obvious rooftop—that should've been guarded—when he almost sniped Trump in that assassination attempt back in 2024.
