I was warming up to him and then he had to shatter my respect like a cold wet towel around the midriff to the point that one can not but help but be united with ones discomfort.

As an aside if I read that initial description than the prince used to be a sensible and respectable person but after he met miss sitoen his character pulled a complete 180, I wonder if something happened there?
