This was a satisfying ending but excited to see what the sequel direction takes but this ending was very well done, thank you once again for translating!

Half the violence in this manga wasn't even from the crimes that were committed

Also, I feel oddly disappointed, I can't pinpoint it. Overall it was really good, but I just can't get that feeling of disappointment out...
Maybe because I didn't have any high expectations
Maybe it felt kinda rushed
Maybe cause it's 1 A.M
I wouldn't know

Nice ending, a bit rushed though. Shame there was no "bridge" between this series and the sequel, as a more fleshed out relationship and less drama-driven conclusion would've been nice. It seems like the author literally decided 2-3 chapters before end to get them together and thus it lacked proper build-up.

Hopefully someone will one day translate the sequel too.

For me the ending feels stale. Because it's subplot that was used for thousand times, it was abrupt and does not really make for satisfying climax.

It is like axe-kun killed it, then after the rushed ending was written another magazine picked it up so the sequel happened, maybe?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the OTT ending, but it still felt rushed into, so not like it was planned to end this one here and then continue in a sequel.

It definitely has that axed feeling since it ramps up so suddenly, but honestly it could have been a lot worse... At least it was a long last chapter. Imagine them trying to cram all this into 24 pages. I'm sure whatever led to "finishing" this one and creating the sequel, at least they tried to make it a clean ending.

I hope the sequel keeps up with the whole Mirror coupling. I actually liked that pairing.

The "new manga" is not a sequel but a new adaptation of the story. The characters work in Japan's Metropolitan Police (even Meishi), Rinna and Meishi have japanese surnames (Rinna is half Irish it seems), and the story revolves around Rinna and Meishi going in a pseudo-lovers relationship so Rinna can understand why her hearts beats so fast around Meishi.

I liked this ending, it was real satisfying. The confession and kisses were the best part of this, obviously, and Dan even got to be useful for once! It’s a nice and happy ending, and it’s honestly quite satisfying even before we get to the companion non-hentai doujins!

I do wish more elements of the story would’ve been fleshed out. I did like the police and mystery elements introduced early on. However, the shift in focus to the romance helped make this climax better in the end, since that was the central hook of the story from the beginning. And while I think the climax did an adequate job of tying all of the elements together, it does kind of happen out of nowhere. Almost like the author needed to wrap this up in 2 chapters cause axe.

Some things that could’ve been fleshed out:
- Mirror’s relationship with the other guy from the office who accidentally let her go. Side couple was obviously in the works here, meaning I wouldn’t be surprised if there were plans to have them be an official couple mid-manga. In fact, if the doujins and alternate story are of any indication...
- The guys from the office not named Rinna and Meishi, and the relationship each of them share with Rinna. We get a chapter or two here, but nothing more. I struggle to remember their names. Except for Dan, but that’s for not good reasons.
- Rinna as an ace inspector, and how the expectations that came with it cause her to keep overexerting herself. Meishi directly helps but indirectly makes it worse.
- Rinna’s relationship with her father: would be interesting if she, as a 17-year old girl, had a good relationship with her father but vented her frustrations about not being seen as a girl and those expectations to him at one point.
- Meishi falling for Rinna: I wonder what made him see her as a hero, and what made him see her as a woman. This was nice, but he needed a little more IMO.

Man, it seems like I’m harshly criticizing this, but I did enjoy it. Rinna and Meishi are obviously the highlight, as them and their interactions are very cute - downright adorable at points. While the story overall is quite tropey, that’s not an inherently bad thing. I think those tropes were utilized decently. Plus, the climax was still quite satisfying, and a good ending goes a long way. I’m glad that there’s more of this and I’m happy the author’s seemingly getting a second chance. I would like to read more.

6/10! Not bad! I’d recommend it for people looking for something cute and short for a quick burst of fluff. Hopefully the other versions get translated soon!

Good story, very cute, but this last chapter’s name is in bad taste for a manga about a police officer
