Whats truly a loss is all the (non porno) old magazines/art books that for all intents and purposes are practically non existent in the internet except the ones that were only uploaded there.

A real pity. It was a nice place to check for doujins about my favourite manga characters doing the lewd things they couldn't do in the actual series.

Sometimes I'm glad I'm already an old geezer who got to experience the world when it was still free and full of optimism, not full of nonsense rules, restrictions, and laws that forbid all the fun things one by one. Very soon people will only be able to "enjoy" brainless things sanctioned and offered by a handful of global corporations. Everything else will be outlawed. If you try to create something on your own and share it with people, the coppers will come knocking on your door.

I don't really expect Mangadex to survive overly long either.

due to various reason the admin decided to retire, personal health is one of them but I believe the nail in the coffin is that netherland (where the core site hosted) make a new law and he have no more willingness to play cat and mouse (by moving the hosting around countries) against pedophile law based on chest size.

few hours ago the panda euthanized.
the main site is planned to follow soon™ (possibly 2020, or possibly never)

Apparently a site called Ex-hentai is going down due to the EU Article 13- 17 Meme ban law. Which shares a database with a site called E-Hentai? (the Comment said DST framework and forcing hosts to be responsible for policing content)

Soemeone below me said it was cause Netherlands changed their laws?

Besides the obvious problem to the hentai community, E-Hentai has become a massive repository for Foreign Doujins and old artbooks.

In particular, apparently Chinese Doujins are particularly screwed since almost all of them link to E-Hentai.


Ex-Hentai going down is guaranteed to affect E-Hentai, which will determine how many translated doujins, artbooks and . . . porn people can save.

Don't take the 6 months remaining for granted, for all we know the site could be shut down tomorrow, grab whatever you want to save as soon as you can. Hitomi and nhentai have a lot of doujins and manga from exhentai, not everything but it's worth a shot, although everything is resized. And if something you want has disappeared with exhentai go to /h/ on 4chan, they are compiling as much stuff as they can.

And apparently exhentai went down because some weeks ago some people from a site called Kiwi Farms reported a loli site called Allthefallen to their host, which is based on the Netherlands. Is the same host that e-hentai is using so they must have been investigating other websites like ATF and pulled the plug from exhentai. This has nothing to do with Article 13.
