It's hard to appreciate a good scanlation until you've had a reminder of what a bad one is. Thanks for your excellent efforts, TOOR Scans!

other updates for this manga seem to be around a month apart according to the update dates on the manga page, and the last one to this was around a month ago. So... it was around the time for the update already, give or take some time for delays.

The translation was finished on Jan 23rd, and the TS was done on Jan 26. We were literally in the middle of QCing before release when the MTL chapter appeared.

It's been discussed before, but we're incapable of catching up to raw, solely because the main TL (Agsilver) works for many groups and it's a miracle that he stuck with us for the last two years to translate Risou, a very heavy text and long page count. Even ComicDom with their scambaiting tactics didn't shoot for this series and gave up after just one chapter (46), because Risou is simply not MTL-friendly enough to scambait. I understand that readers want to catch up to raw, but it's simply not possible given our manpower at this moment.

Thanks! Happy we don't have the shit MTL because fuck hate it when people do it. Would rather have no chapters rather then they just shit out the thing we got from the other team. Also not sure if it is a great idea to use that tool for the mining. Can already see a cave-in and you get trapped in a bubble that they can't get to before you die. Tbh, not much different then in our world but think strengthening magic would work better then the bubble.

TOOR getting massive praise today after that other team showed us how much of a difference it makes when a team doesn't just vomit MTL straight into the speech bubbles.

And they truly deserve praise for the work they do. Well done TOOR.

Well...
Seems I'm the rare case that could understand the other group's "work" (or I guess the machine translator's). Even if it was a pain, the idea was passed forward properly to me, comparing to this version.

That said, yeah, the level of quality is very clear. Understanding the other one was a pain sometimes, no wonder so many people gave up.

I find it hilarious that all of those supposed drawbacks she was listing off were stuff he'd like in a woman. Just goes to show how little research she actually did on him, the 4 Dukes on the other hand nailed his type dead on, shame for them they don't stand a chance.

That was the point though no? I really really really hope she doesn't become a harem member personally lol

you'll end up with a small amount of popular titles with like 10+ groups working on it
But sometimes it's funny, like Kaguya chapter 200. Well, more like that one time...

I never understand peoples want to force you guys to catch up to RAW, they should be happy someones working on it at all.
If the speed is the same as RAW, I'm happy. If I get to read at all, I'm content. I mean, it's not like I'm not already reading stuff years old. Just finished reading a shoujo manga translated a few years ago. The only benefit of reading things "up to date" is that you have people who've recently read the same thing you can discuss with, but that "up to date" is still just what's translated most of the time anyway, since not many people on this side of the language barrier reads RAWs.

Seems I'm the rare case that could understand the other group's "work" (or I guess the machine translator's).
When I read the real translation, I found I didn't change my perception of the events in the chapter at all. I've read a bunch of MTLs, so I'm used to filling in the blanks and questioning the words I'm reading, and I've always been good at understanding a story where a lot of information is missing (even if that's just references and double speak I'm missing myself).

I think people are just exaggerating, but I'm not going to say the other one was good in any way.

You know reading the reviews for the LN, I think they've completely changed the story. Like what I read there was completely different what the manga has, like crazy different.

Usually, if there are major changes, the WN is completely different from the LN, and the manga tends to follow the LN. But sometimes, the arcs are in different orders, which can make the story seem completely different even if it isn't.

I find that most of the time the LN tends to be much "cleaner" in terms of structure and content, but whether that's a good or bad thing depends on the story. Some work better with the rougher WN versions, and some are just a mess without those added edits.
