grow some nuts bro she trashed u once already behind your back, stand up for yourself.
nah. it was the typical "agree to the dissing a 3rd person makes out of sheer social pressure", shtick. she ain't trash-trash, but she's definitely gutless for not protecting her supposed childhood (boy)friend.

I really hope she doesn't have blue hair that the manga conveniently didn't show us, cus if she does have blue hair, she's screwed completely. She's already the small chested childhood friend

really surprised readers acting like she did any harm to him
She didn’t directly do harm, but you would hope a friend of yours who you were really close with growing up would be an active defender of yours when you are being trashed on

I am not excusing her actions.
I was musing that people are pretending its a big deal when its not. like arson, murder and jaywalking.
Technically, all of them are wrong, but of the 3, 1 is such a, relative in context, minor infraction.
In this case, its not like she cheated on him, her words werent even slanderous iirc.
Condescending perhaps, but thats nothing an apology and reflection cannot fix. compared to cheating etc

The other readers be like HR recommending firing someone because they googled hentai when they were then underage 10 years ago

This is it, but there's a bit more to it that you're missing, @VanillaHentai.

While the flatchest sold the idea to MC-kun as a pretend relationship while enjoying it as the real thing herself, MC-kun--even though he had to be persuaded to take part--was at least beginning to take it seriously. It's only natural: first, he's already very familiar with her; second, it's a girl and he's a guy--what comes after that much positive contact, while constantly keeping in mind that it's supposed to be regarded as romantic, is almost sure to be romantic feeling.

So he was there, actually coming around to give Flatchest exactly what she wanted, when she decided to belittle him in front of her friends--with a smile on her face, no less. You say it's not slander, but it was: "at this rate, he won't be able to get anyone [for what you, my friends, have said,] so I'm just doing him this favor". The implication was clear--MC-kun was right to regard her words that way, because that's exactly what they would mean in a context like that (i.e., in response to disdainful slander from strangers).

So no, it's not as big a deal as actual cheating--but you'd have to compare it to something like that to minimize the impact of such an action. It's not something you do to someone you call a close friend, and it's definitely not something you do to a lover--you can reasonably expect to be cut off in either case for exactly that kind of treacherous behavior. MC-kun said the relationship "fizzled out" because he "didn't trust" her--but what was there to trust? "Character is who you are in the dark," the saying goes, and Flatchest proved what she was when she thought she couldn't be seen; there was nothing to trust to begin with.

This is exactly why I'm calling him "MC-kun" and not using his name.

I saw previews of this arc on the author's X account months ago--what I could read of the JP was retarded, and what I'm reading here proves it. MC-kun's obviously got strong feelings for Sara, who bears characteristics that he (and the author--he's said it on his Pixiv that Sara matches his tastes) likes; yet this androgynous flatchest--the same one who hoped to disparage him publicly behind his back but failed--shows up out of nowhere to play a clear homewrecker role, and he's not only accommodating her whims but going dokidoki over her just because Sara is no longer around? Did he forget about her that fast?

This is on top of the whole overthinking nonsense MC-kun's been doing. On that Ferris wheel, he thought to call what he still thought was fake quits with Sara, at which point she ended up giving him a lucky pervert moment. In that moment, the typical effeminate MC allergy to big breasts arose, and so he pushed her away--but Sara pressed her breasts into his face in defiance of that sissy act and his intent to cut her off.

So what was that? Either she has feelings for MC-kun or she's a slut--and by insisting that that action didn't come from love, MC-kun is suggesting she's the kind of girl who'd throw her tits at just anyone.

Sara isn't much better, accepting the homewrecking flatchest and playing nice (that's definitely not being good) with her--she's creating room for these "misunderstandings" so common in works like these, when they don't have a reason to exist: everything she's been doing has been out of romantic affection--you don't just do them with friends or strangers, and she knows this. This is mostly MC-kun's fault though: he has the responsibility of setting things straight here, being male; it's his indecisive behavior that's letting the flatchest run roughshod not only over their romance, but their personal lives--she's forcing herself into their social circle on top of everything, in all brazenness.

That last part is also retarded--the sheer number of people simply putting up with her random homewrecking is absurd, and reeks of a forced love triangle.
