Who would think that after this confession he would walk away? Not me... but there was 1% of hope, that author won't go this cliche way after all and go back to our couple, but... How can you stretch story without rival? First girl, now boy... Tired of this kind of manga that focuses on to many side characters (bad written characters) instead of interesting relationship developments (kinda was at the beginning of this story, before Yae and this selfish prick).
