@Kazumaik Fun fact, the comic version of the cat (which is still actually an alien, just it wasn't revealed particularly quickly and could've just been a retcon to make the cat more interesting later on?) was once used to throw at the face of some dimension hopping asshole Carol was fighting. That might've been where they got the idea for it causing Nick's eye problem, thing was clawing the shit out of that dude. I think she took the cat in because it did such a nice job roughing the dude up.

Well, fun maybe-half-remembered-at-best fact anyway. That issue wasn't exactly recent and I'm not super confident in my memory on most days. She may have already had the cat under weird circumstances at that point, but decided to definitely keep it for its part in taking down what's his face?
