Despite what Ada said here, I doubt her words, she'd definitely miss him immensely when he leaves. Right now it's his quirky behavior that stands out because he's still around, but when he's gone she'll be singing a different tune from what we've seen at other points in the series 🤔

Ok, so about Shachiku returning home at the end of the story:

I do think he will, given he's so excited about speedrunning, and soul-crushing work aside seems to have been fairly happy in his world, unlike most isekaiees. So what if, instead of him staying with the girls, the girls go with him to his world?

Ada has secretly been longing for freedom and I think absolutely enjoying her time with Shachiku (and I think people claiming that she's out of the running are speaking prematurely, especially since there's still development ahead), and even Kiira feels free from the pressure she's used to when with him, so it'd be really sweet if, once everything is settled and they aren't needed anymore, they got to travel to another world and experience the joys of speedrunning themselves.

Also I just really don't want them separated, okay? No I'm not coping, you're coping.

Exactly. She's been noted to be different ever since Shachiku showed up, and I absolutely think that, however mad he occasionally drives her, she's really happy that he's there. Here she denied it due to comedic effect, but also because she's really guarded and doesn't let people into her heart easily, and so still keeps some distance from Shachiku. I do think this will change as the series progresses/ends.

I mean Kiira has the prince if she doesn't get the win. Don't forget that her issues there is because she's convinced he hates her. The guy is so much into escapism, that when an actual opportunity to escape appears, he just wants to go back to the way things were before... Granted, a reality with the exact same limitations of a video game might not be the best place to live.

It's true that there's a real likelihood that he doesn't get with Kiira (or anyone), but this chapter really puts the hammer down on any possible Ada route. If her rejecting the possibility without the typical tsundere blush happened in the first few chapters, it could just mean she'll change her mind later on, but this far in the game she knows him pretty well. I've read enough manga to know when a route's been sunk down for good.
