What if someone in the government is already part of it?
That might make things interesting.
I don't think that the author is going to go too deeply into the whole "Dragons vs Humanity" plot line though.
Not unless the series takes a huge turn away from the comfy SoL vibe it has right now.

I already said the same thing in the first comments, lmao. Another issue is that story still needs some kind of conflict, even if it's less enormous.

my guess is yoshioka think its best if she leaves school becuase he wants what is absolutely best for everybody but in the most logical and statistical way. She would no longer have top stress about harming her friends, and her classmates wouldnt need to worry about being harmed. i dont think theres any malice behind his opinion.

People usually mean the biosphere when they are talking about the planet. Rapid changes would and are throwing off all kinds of natural processes. That goes back the extinction of the Ice Age megafauna.
The biosphere at large, again, won't give a fuck: mass extinction events are the norm for it, and it restored diversity promptly each and every time. Even if we wholly wipe out ourselves, say, with a full-scale nuclear war, the biosphere will remain intact.

I'm letting the author cook with where the story is going with all the lore drops we've been getting. I'm always pretty impressed that this manga has some of the snappiest dialogue in SJ right now, so I hope the plot follows up too.
