Aww Merry did an oopsie, but we must protect that adorable smile by giving headpats, uppies and sniff... well maybe not sniffing her, Eldora.

That was some jump scare. :worry:
Who would win, dragon waifu or jump scaring dragon?

Pretty sure the black haired dragonoid is implied to be the one who mortally wounded eldora in the first chapter, that being said i believe it also said she was betrayed which to me implies eldora was stronger and was surprise attacked or something which i'd guess means she's stronger.

Have you ever asked why the BBEG just doesn't... pop out of nowhere and kill the MC and co? Well... you are about to see why.

This guy does not have luck on his side... well, not exactly... he actually does, it is just that luck is compensating for what was gained.

Friendly Reminder that Dion is wrong, Merry is 100% a child by her race's standards and is effectively 9 y/o in human years. So no, she's not an "adult" because she's 26.

She said elf bodies rapidly mature around 30 (puberty equivalent) and they're considered full fledged adults at 50. It varies by country/culture, but 18-21 are pretty standard for being considered an adult on Earth, and rarely it's 16. If we use the average age for a girl hitting puberty of 11 (it's 8-13) and Japan's standard of 18 for legally an adult, then the ratio is 0.36 for the human:elf age, where 1 human year = 0.36 elf years (11/30 and 18/50 both = ~0.36) then she's effectively 9.62 elf-years old at 26 years old.

She's literally a child.

Edit:
Its it such a cute outing with Master and his legal loli slave
This is why I gave the reminder. She's not a legal loli, she's a child

who asked?
Me, i asked. If only because of sheer curiosity.

Also I wish they at least explained what kind of benefits being a slave give you in terms of protection, to at least justify keeping Merry as a slave.

Like...why would you drag attention to the fact she's a slave by making her recognize that...and not have Dion give a single reason to keep her as one? Even in his mind - at least trying to set it up that it is his trauma with the other fuck messing with his ability to trust her, ANYTHING to explain why him in particular would deflect the question by just saying something "don't worry about it kitten"-adjacent and not free her soon.

Like, I don't even get a hint of a dilemma in not freeing her as soon as they can. But it also doesn't feel like ignoring the fucked-up part of all this is something that all of them are doing consciously at this point, SPECIALLY with that scene of him just telling her to forget about being a slave while still legally being one and not elaborating on the "why".

Edit: hell, rereading the previous chapter, the closest explanation I can come up with, after making some assumptions, is that whoever they get to take care of their house that isn't a slave would be treated as a butler/maid immediately and a bunch of obligatory costs they can't pay would pile up immediately...but like, Merry definitely shouldn't count for it, if only because of a lack of the qualifications given about them. And it feels disingenuous to imply there's no other way of establishing a contractual relationship with a caretaker in their country, even if it requires some loopholes for it.

As the classic line goes "You better hope you knock me out with that first punch"

My sister in christ, I dont think you knocked our boy out, and we know bro is operating in Actual Dragon Ball rules... he's got the blood and heals, a hit like that is going to hurt but not enough to kill...

...and you should really have killed him. Now you've only made him angry. Best of luck Worst-dragon chan.

I was wondering if we'd get folks wah wahing still about the last chapter and I see one at the moment.

Anyways, I like the details of his eyes swapping from normal to draconic when things start to get tense. I do not like the cliffhanger since this manga updates every.. 30-45 days, or in the case of this chapter.. two months. Bleh.
