I enjoy how unsure I am about bout Sasha and Hyce relationship. He still hasn't forgive her but willing to start clean while holding the past accountable is a fitting conclusion. Like I can really vibe with him in this part. While I would like to see more angst tugging between the two of them, I can see how getting it dragged out would hurt the flow of story. Also funny how Eclipse objectively start from worse place than Sasha (She tricked them and painting herself as an enemy in Hyce's eyes, and courting him right after he just demolished her clan headquarter) but now making more mileage by herself (Pushing for marriage, forming connection with other heroines, already kiss Hyce albeit unintentionally, making plans for their future kids and I'm not talking daydreaming but actual legitimize their standing, if they married and have children, those kids will be recognized as proper noble while free to pursue what they want) while Sasha only just somewhat figured out her feeling and it took Reynold taking the deserved L lol

Grandpa talking out of his ass since he has no idea what Hyce endured prior to getting kicked (which is full on abuse) if he knew, he would personally beat Sasha and that lesbian freak saint. I really disliked this part in the novel as well.

He's an edgelord but he already overtook Sasha and is now actually even more capable than an S-level. Can't deny the results after all.
But pretty sure he will build his own party sooner or later and will even become stronger with them than how he would ever be with Sasha. I mean he can still fulfill their promise even if they don't party up together.
Nonetheless, we all know how things will move forward, and I just hope their reconciliation will not be a super-generic cliched one.

i pretty much just do stuff on my own sched, im just a member of GD but everything here is done by me, I don't really do much for GD in general, This series is under GD scans cause they were the ones who brought it to me, and I just ok, idm i'll work on it, and I basically said, meh ill do it solo.

Nah, i got that feeling as well. He passed out at the end of the last chapter, I expected him to wake up in bed on this one brooding on the “betrayal”. Maybe even him grinding and moving up the ranks. Not a time skip.

How is he exactly "wrong"?

Sasha did discard him and kicked him out of the party when she thought he was weak ,didn't she?
Regardless of what her intentions that lead to that decision were, she did in fact break her promise to him, that they would be a team and help people together(something that's of outmost importance to the MC since we can see him and Sasha making that vow in front of some graves that I assume to be those of their parents who died after a monster attack).

There are a number of better ways to keep him out of harms way and into the party rather than kick him out, including making him responsible for the gathering/handling the economics/supplies and info the party needs(aka make him be someone taking care of things back at the safety of their "base")while the rest of the party is out adventuring, it's not that the MC didn't knew he was dragging them down on the battle field, and that would be a great way for him to still be contributing for their shared dream.

Also it was still Sasha's choice that created the conditions that made the MC be berated by many other adventurers for who knows how long, as well as her choice to give him the location where the dragon was that nearly got him killed and lost him and eye.
And don't care what you say, but when you know that someone is powerless to defend themselves and give them a location to gather herbs, the least you can do is doublecheck with the guild to see if there are any dangerous monsters there(and for the MC back then it should most of them). I am not saying that Sasha tried to kill him, but this was yet another major way she dropped the "ball", the road to hell is paved with good intentions as they say.

Is the MC edgy and acts like an asshole? Yes, most likely, and I can't really blame him after what he's been through.
But he is not wrong, and his anger towards Sasha and her betraying him by breaking their promise is at least understandable.

I still can't get over the fact they called weapons master a weak role, like in general that's pretty powerful. Also I hope he uses other things than just guns cause when I think weapons master I think of this:

I don't think anyone ever did. Everyone knew that as a "Master" skill it should be strong. Problem was that contrary to the Sword Master there were no precedents and MC didn't know how to access his abilities, so for all intents and purposes he was as weak as any other skillless human.

Well, there's also his getup (which afaik is crafted from the black dragon he slew, so it being black makes sense) and his nickname (which was probably given to him by others)...
There's an explanation for everything by itself, but if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
