Your perspective is valid. Except it's clearly just Sasha and goggles who care.

Hang on the thumper is strong enough for dragons? The scaling seems to favor firearms more huh? Normally other mangas require AT and RPGs to deal with dragons, like in GATE. No that that’s an issue but it’s amusing.

Yeah. Normally you see the former party be full of incompetent idiots, or the MC parted on good terms with the party because they actually talked about it and they still friends, so this direction of “party cares but oh boy do they fuck up showing that they do care” is quite original…
