I don't trust anyone
trusts someone named Geist
Yeah.“you are just a kid because you wont be emasculated into joining a team that discarded and betrayed you” this was such a failed attempt to make the old dude seem wise and mature 😂
Sascha is the one the guild master really needs to talk to, though. She's the one who initially AND subsequently messed things up. So if she ever wants to have a functioning relationship with ML, she has to talk to him.this story is separated into 2 pov, hyce and sasha, and i guarantee you
he does the same to sasha, he scolds both of them because he thought of them as his grandchilds, though, he does this less to sasha because she's more meek towards him instead of talking back like hyce
Not only all this, that you write about Sascha and the MC, but her leaving MC when he's wounded (in more than one way), without trying to talk. That makes her look really culpable. How is he exactly "wrong"?
Sasha did discard him and kicked him out of the party when she thought he was weak ,didn't she?
Regardless of what her intentions that lead to that decision were, she did in fact break her promise to him, that they would be a team and help people together(something that's of outmost importance to the MC since we can see him and Sasha making that vow in front of some graves that I assume to be those of their parents who died after a monster attack).
There are a number of better ways to keep him out of harms way and into the party rather than kick him out, including making him responsible for the economics/logisitcs of the party, have him gather supplies and handling the economics and info the party needs(aka make him be someone taking care of things back at the safety of their "base")while the rest of the party is out adventuring, it's not that the MC didn't knew he was dragging them down on the battle field, and that would be a great way for him to still be contributing for their shared dream.
Also it was still Sasha's choice that created the conditions that made the MC be berated by many other adventurers for who knows how long, as well as her choice to give him the location where the dragon was that nearly got him killed and lost him and eye.
And I don't care what you say, but when you know that someone is powerless to defend themselves and give them a location to gather herbs, the least you can do is doublecheck with the guild to see if there are any dangerous monsters there(and for the MC back then it should be most of them). I am not saying that Sasha tried to kill him, but this was yet another major way she dropped the "ball", the road to hell is paved with good intentions as they say.
Is the MC edgy and acts like an asshole? Yes, most likely, and I can't really blame him after what he's been through.
But he is not wrong, and his anger towards Sasha and her betraying him by breaking their promise is at least understandable.
i'm not sure why you rant on a comment i made more than 1 year ago lolSascha is the one the guild master really needs to talk to, though. She's the one who initially AND subsequently messed things up. So if she ever wants to have a functioning relationship with ML, she has to talk to him.
Also, how can she not see that Reynolds is manipulating things?
Would anyone in ML's shoes contact Sascha, and try to mend things? She hasn't shown remorse, or any real willingness to see how she messed up.
Not only all this, but that interlude of 2 years - how could she not stay around, and try to talk to him when he was wounded (in all possible ways)? That's when she had the chance to do something. NOT talking to him then means she cemented his low opinion of her. And no wonder.
Who would think someone CARES, who first abused you verbally, then threw you out of the party (after being super close as children), and not in a decent way, either. And next, apparently sent you to your death against a monster such as extremely few would even be able to escape, even less kill. And finally, didn't even have the decency to stay around to at least show they care, and try to explain what happened. The only interpretation for a wounded person like the ML is that Sascha wanted him dead, and when that failed, she left.
So why doesn't the guild master tell Sascha how ML feels?
I guess we'll see? I have a hard time seeing anything other than one or both of those two being shown as failing even more as humans, since it appears any reconciliation is far away.
Heh. Yeah. I know it's weird.i'm not sure why you rant on a comment i made more than 1 year ago lol
but if you're curious about the story, you should read it more, each person have different taste in things so i can't guarantee whether you'll like it or not, but this novel definitely isn't that bad in my opinion at least
well, you can just assume the reason why i didn't share more of the story is because i don't want to spoil unless the person ask me to spoilHeh. Yeah. I know it's weird.
Thanks for your answer. I've had people get ... quite annoyed ... when I've commented something old.
Then again, the opposite happens, too.
I guess when I react to someone's comment, it's because it struck a chord in me. Sometimes that can be a feeling of kinship, sometimes I want to point something out, and sometimes I just feel something's been misunderstood - I try to hold back on the last variety, since I don't want to add to the internet churn, and anger. There have been cases where I feel a person is unnecessarily dark or bleak in their interpretation, and I wish to provide a glimpse of light in the dark.
In this case, it's more like you did that, though.![]()
