The manga has become complete garbage... I know the novel is controversial because of the protagonist's relationship with Sasha, but at least there their friendship and love develop very slowly.
Here, suddenly from one chapter to the next they're such good friends, it's RIDICULOUS, especially when just a few chapters ago Hyse was shown as totally resentful and angry with her... this way you get the feeling they're improvising as they go along, damn it.
Then the nerf to the protagonist is really annoying... his bullets are practically impossible to dodge, and here in the manga almost any enemy or relevant character dodges them, like the demon or the guy in this chapter. They have to help him defeat his enemies, like with the demon that Presea had to help; they leave him unconscious, forcing Sasha to win for him, and now they bring in Hybiki to do the dungeon with him?!?!?! This is an insult to the novel and the character himself.
To clarify this last point, Hyse does everything alone. He's the most renowned character in his world because he's a lone wolf who crushes any enemy without needing a party. That's his essence, what grants him fame and recognition in any kingdom, what has made him disgustingly rich. It's the way he confronts his former party (Sasha and company), showing them how powerful he is without needing them. It's his way of getting revenge, and it's part of his trauma of not trusting ANYONE.
Let's not even talk about inventing unnecessary things like everything this old guy says here: how the demon survives and Hyse needs help to sell it, the giant turtle Sasha has to defeat, how she faces Hyse, introducing Hybiki prematurely, etc., etc. Besides skipping over important things like Hyse and Sasha's pact to fight each other separately, and then talk once they both achieved their goals... they set that goal, but it doesn't exist here because they're already such good friends.
It's disgusting what this manga has become, and how it ruins the novel and everything that makes it even remotely interesting.
My recommendation is that you stop reading this and go straight to the novel. You won't regret it.
