this chapter is really naive. when you think about the reasons for a medieval world to have an adventuring guild you realize haveing a death rate of 0 would then require an investigation on the effects on local banditry size and crime in general
the reason you can justify the existence of a adventuring guild is:
- gives the dregs of society a means to profit without resorting to banditry or crime
- provides a means to profits off said dregs if they manage to succeed
- provides a means to mitigate or deal with possible threats to the public without risking the lives of members of the military or decent members of society
- possibly kill off said dregs stopping them from continuing with any crime spree's they may already have done or stopping them before they engage in banditry or crime anyway
therefor a guild master wouldnt celebrate no deaths this term until after they seen if banditry reports and crime rates remain static or reduce. if they instead increase thats a sign that the adventurers arent being given enough work and would need to look into ways to better entice adventurers into more dangerous tasks.
