Man, what a boring action sequence. Even if the Kraken "has lost its composure", the artist sure as hell could have shown some sort of actual... movement and action. Now they're just standing there and talking like they're discussing where to find the milk in the grocery store. Make the Kraken flail a bit! Make the heroes move around as they shout out their plan! Add some URGENCY to the scene, for crying out loud!

I feel ya. There are two ways to take it I guess; you could think it'd be like if a person lost a limb, they'd be flipping around, and I'd prefer that method. Or, you could assume that the squid could not feel pain(which some people believe is true[its not]) and the author made it that way. It would then easily see that it had an injury it never received before(allegedly) an was in disbelief or something. It is highly intelligent.
